Tsubasa admired the magnificent Great Pond Race that took place annually, where koi from far and wide gathered to compete for glory. Inspired by their graceful movements and the thrill of the race, Tsubasa yearned to participate and showcase their true potential.

But there was one problem. Tsubasa was always at the back of the pack during practice races. Despite their determination and enthusiasm, they couldn't match the speed and agility of their fellow competitors. Nevertheless, Tsubasa refused to give up on their dream.

Kai had lived in the same pond all his life, swimming lazily around the same rocks and plants day after day. He had heard stories of a vast, unknown world beyond his pond, but he had never dared to venture beyond its familiar waters.

One day, Kai overheard some other fish talking about a river that flowed through the nearby forest, and he couldn't resist the urge to explore. He waited until the other fish had gone to sleep, then slipped out of the pond and set off on his adventure.
